I don't know if this movie is super popular or underrated, but I loved the concept and aesthetic of this movie. To be honest, if there was one rom-com I'd live in it'd definitely be this one. The idea was different compared to other rom-coms I watched, but in a good way because of how cute it was! Even the chemistry between Jenna and Matt being developed in the future was soo adorable to see too although Matt initially lost feelings. Overall, I wish I could watch this for the first time again. Not only did it make me feel nostalgic, it was whimsical and had charm that I loved soo much. |

| I think this is the first rom-com I watched, and I enjoyed it because of how relatable it was. I love Kat, and I feel like in some ways I saw myself in her. Not to say too much info but from my prior experiences with guys even being friends with them was a struggle because I always viewed them as being immature, so seeing her develop a relationship with Patrick, or the guy that she disliked, gave me hope for myself. Additionally, when she said in her english class poem "But mostly I hate the way I don't hate you-- not even close, not even a little bit, not even at all" really stuck out to me because I don't think I could ever really hate someone that much knowing that there's good in them or the good memories that I had with that person. This rom-com is definitely popular for a reason ❤ |
